Extreme Art
In search of adventure and inspiration, in the summer of 2008 I set up my studio on the bow of a sunken ship, 60ft below the surface of shark infested waters off the coast of the Bahamas. Without any idea of whether I could effectively paint on canvas with oils at depth, I donned my wetsuit and commenced what was to be the most fascinating, exhilarating and inspiring journey I’d ever undertaken.

With Tiger sharks swimming close overhead and assisted by a curious little Grouper Fish, I completed three paintings over the course of five days. The experience made me feel truly a part of what lies beneath the surface. To get the full story, watch the video.
